Alcatraz is a new mystery / drama television series from FOX. The series premiere of Alcatraz is Monday January 16, 2012 on FOX and City TV in Canada. Rebecca Madsen is a homicide detective in San Francisco. During one of her investigations she comes across fingerprints from an Alcatraz prisoner who died over 30 years ago. When her investigation gets hindered by a government agent it only makes her more interested in the case. Madsen seeks the help of Alcatraz expert Dr. Diego Soto and they discover that the former Alcatraz prisoner is somehow still alive and reeking havoc on the streets of San Francisco. The main cast of Alcatraz includes Sarah Jones as Detective Rebecca Madsen, Sam Neill as Emerson Hauser (gov’t agent), and Jorge Garcia as Dr. Diego Soto (Alcatraz expert).
