Lifetime TV Network Coming To Canada With With Dance Moms

Ever since Dance Moms: Miami started in the U.S. (and not in Canada) in April 2012 Canadians have been going crazy for their Dance Moms fix wondering when the new season would be starting. Dance Moms is not the only show us Canadians have been doing without. Also absent from the Canadian TV schedule has been Jennifer Love Hewitt’s new show The Client List. Both these shows have something in common – they air on the Lifetime TV Network in the U.S.

Finally we have an answer when we will be able to watch these shows and other Lifetime series’ and movies. Shaw has announced that their specialty channel Showcase Diva is being re-branded as the Canadian Lifetime Channel. The new Lifetime Canadian channel is scheduled to launch on August 27, 2012. Expect to see shows such as Dance Moms: Miami, Dance Moms (season 2), The Client List, Drop Dead Diva, Project Runway Season 10, America’s Most Wanted, the new Lindsay Lohan movie Liz and Dick, and much more.

When does the new Lifetime Canada channel launch?

The new Lifetime Canada channel will be available August 27, 2012. It will be a specialty channel meaning it won’t be included with your basic cable package. However, like all new channels there will be a free preview period (starting Aug 27).
