 Cycling – Track at the 2012 Summer Olympics features 10 events (5 men’s and 5 women’s). For both the men and women there is an individual sprint, keirin, and omnium event as well as a team sprint and team pursuit event. All Track Cycling events take place between August 2-7. Canada has 6 athletes competing in Track Cycling at the 2012 Olympics. Tara Whitten won the Women’s Omnium World Championships in 2010 & 2011 and has high aspirations for the 2012 Olympics. Zack Bell recently won the silver in the Men’s Omnium World Championships (April 2012) and would love a similar result in London.
